Virtual Schools

Virtual Schools are a new way that is more comfortable for the students. It is a new way of learning that helps them understand the mateirial better. In our age and time this way is becoming popular. The students use the internet to learn the same things that students in regular schools are learning. To join a virtual class you need to get its address and go on line to its site on the net.

Research has shown that students learning in a virtual classroom did 20% better than students who studied the same material in a regular classroom. Virtual classrooms allow the students to learn all the material from their home, they just have to go on line to the Virtual classroom site. If the student has any difficulties or questions about the material, he can send e-maile to the teacher and she will help him.

However, learning in the Virtual classroom has negative sides as well. The Internet has many technical problems and probably it will would influence the process of studying. Moreover, this form of learning prevents from teenagers the social gathering. These students have more contact with the computer than their friends. The computer become to be their best friend.

In conclusion, I think that Virtual Schools are a very attractive way of learning and maybe this way is more comfortable, but in my opinion, the regular schools are the best. The regular schools permit the social gathering and I believe that this is more significant than the studying.

Dear Ms. Simon,

A trip to Poland is a very significant opportunity that we have gotten from school this year, but unfortunately, not all of the students can go on this trip just because of it's exaggerated cost. I am writing because I wish to complain about the high price of this trip, and I would like you to be reasonable and take this problem seriously.

First of all, this trip is important and necessary for us because of our history- the Jews history. We want to see in real what our nation went through and where. There are students that want to participate in this trip because of personal reasons, like death of a close relative in the holocaust, and these students can't realize their wish because of the high price.

In addition, the Holocaust survivors who tell us what really happened and remind us of the holocaust, will disappear in a few years and nobody will remember that history. We should never forget this terrible war, that our nation went through. As a result, we have to go to Poland to see and remember, but the high price doesn't allow us to do so.

In conclusion, I am very disappointed that many students would'nt participate in this important trip. I will be grateful if you do your best to let these students go on the trip.

George

George Stoynovich is the main character in the story "A Summer's Reading". George is 20

years old and he droped out of school when he was 16. George is a lazy young man who lives in the Bronx,a poor neighborhood. He lives with his father and his older sister. Over the story George makes me think about him that he is a useless guy but with a lot of will power.

George looked just like his sister Sophie. He was tall and bony. He was a useless "bum" as his sister called him. He didn't like people telling him what to do, that is one of the reasons that made him drop out from school. George’s mother died when he was a child so he grew up with his father and Sophie, his sister, in a small apartment. For Georgethe education seemed less important. He didn't read books at all, he except for his sister's magazines.

In addition, we can see that George's usual activity is his night walking in the neighborhood. Mr. C is a very important person in George's life, but, George made a terrible mistake and lies to Mr. C. George tells him that he is reading a lot but actually he isn't. Meanwhile, Mr.C tells the whole neighborhood and as a result, George enjoys the newly found respect he gets from everyone. Mr.C knows that George lied, and he wants to change his way of thinking and help him- the "change maker". Mr C wants to show George the right way, and it is actually Mr. C's mission in this story. At the end, Mr. C succeeds in his mission and George starts to read books. George shows everyone that he is successful and that he can make decisions in his life.

In my opinion, George make a mistake when he lied to Mr.C, and did not make an effort to get over his problems. George choocedthe lie like a way to escape from his problems and it's wrong. People have to contend with their problems and do the best to solve them- lies is not a solution. I hope that George's wish become truth and he will read all the books he wants.

Sons and Lovers

Sons and lovers was the first of Lawrence's major works. It's a drama story that tells us about the relationships between three main characters Mrs. Morel, her husband Mr. Morel and their son Paul. The story stirs us to other world whit different situation and conflicts.

The first part of the novel focuses on Mrs. Morel and her unhappy marriage to a drinking miner. She has many arguments with her husband. Estranged from her husband, Mrs. Morel takes comfort in her four children, especially her sons. Paul, her second son, becomes the focus of her life.

The development occurs in Paul's life. Paul falls in love with Miriam, but his mom does not approve of Miriam, and this may be the main reason that Paul does not marry her. Miriam changes his life, but despite this Paul decides to break up with her. At the end Paul's mother falls ill. When she finally dies, he is broken-hearted and, after a final plea from Miriam, goes off alone at the end of the novel.

To sum up, I think that this novel suitable to adult people. It's a serious story and it's a little boring to young people. I recommend that book to adults because it is suitable to them.

Who Is Responsible?

Food is one of the basic things in our lives. The different kinds of food affect our nutrition and behavior. When people buy food they don't really pay attention to what they buy and most of the food manufacturers don’t really care if the food that they produce is healthy or not. so, who will pay attention to our health condition?

In my opinion, our health condition depends on us. unhealthy food exists everywhere and it's our task to check what is healthy and go for it. We have to choose what is the best and be more responsible for what we eat.

Moreover, most of the food manufacturers don’t care about consumers' health, they just care about the money. These manufacturers can add a lot of dangerous ingredients to the food to make the flavor even better, but with this action they endanger our health.

Finally, to keep our health in a good condition we have to be more aware and responsible for what we eat, because we have to remember that our health is in our hands and we have to try to do the best for our selves.

I am writing this letter to comment to an article that I saw published in the Ha'aretz newspaper on September 9,2009. the article tells us about Gilad shalit's letter, that was released for publication on the first time. I would like to express my opinion on this issue.

First, I think that our government doesn’t effort enough(phr.) to rescue Shlit from the captivity, and it's very disappointed(gr.). The Israeli public expect(gr.) from his(ww.) country to do the best(ww.).

Moreover, Gilad shalit endangers(gr.) his life to protect Israel, and he doesn’t deserve this suffering. Shlit is a victim of the Israeli confrontations(what do you mean?), Whay(sp.) does he have to suffer?

To conclusion, I hope that Gilad shalit return back home safe and quickly, and I wish that our government would make a little more effort to rescue him.

Three year passed and nothing changed. Gilad shalit, the abducted soldier,is still imprisoned. last Tuesday, 09.09.09, Gilad shalit's letter was released for publication for the first time. The letter doesn't offer any new information regarding the condition of the abducted soldier, but at the first time when israel was awared to Gilad shalit kidnapping, the letter was delivered to Israel as a sign by Shalit's captors that the soldier was alive.

Gilad shalit wrote the letter two or three months after he was abducted by Hamas. "My health is deteriorating from day to day"- in shalit's words.
He is trying to survive but we can't know if he will succeed or if he will stay alive.The Israeli government trying to get an agreement with Hamas- but still without results.

A lot of talking, to much noise and disorder, but actually there is no action. Gilad shalit is a victim of the Israeli confrontations, and he doesn't deserve it. We have to help with all one's strength to rescue Shalit from this suffering, because he endangers his life to protect Israel, and we have to do the same.

In conclusion, I think that the Israeli government can make a little more effort to rescue Shalit, and then Israel will prove to everyone that it really do acts and not only speek.

The Tel Aviv shooting

Gays and lesbians exist everywhere. we can meet them everywhere- it's a fact that nobody can change. Nevertheless, there are some people that refuse to accept the reality like it is and try to change it. On August 1st, 2009 at 22:40 it happened, the traumatic shooting in the center of Tel Aviv. 3 people murdered and many were injured.

Terrorists can't decide who will stay alive and who will die just because of the difference between peoples. Gays and lesbians are regular people that behave a little different, but they have the right to live like they want, in their way.

The gay-lesbian communities try to live their life. They have their own clubs and special meeting places. Despite this, there are people that think that the existence of these communities disturbes the world.but they make a mistake- these communities do all they can to not to disturbe anybody. Inspite of it, they receive a negative attitude that they dont deserve.

Finally, I think that everyone in the world has his right to live like he wants, despite the difference and the changes. Terrorists have to understand that they will never succeed to change anything in the world with violence.

Facebook

Facebook is a communicator site, which people use to know new people from other place or to be connected with friends or familiars. The most users of facebook are teenagers, but they use it in the bad way, they create hate groups.

Teenagers have many things that they don't like or that not suitable for them, and they express it with hate groups that they create in the facebook against them. With this action they hurt many people in the presence of all facebook users, and it's embarrassing,

There are people that supporting hate groups, and even they participate in theirs action. As opposed to this I think that it's an evil act that brings down the self confidence in the youngsters. Nothing god emanates from hate groups.

In summary, I think we have to stop all this hate groups that just hurt innocent people, and open a site against hate groups- for sure it will help.

School uniforms

School uniforms are required in most of the schools, but not all the students accept to wear them. Teachers think that the school uniform is very important, as opposed to the students who don’t think this way.

On the one hand, the school uniform is very significant and it symbolizes the respect that the students give to their school. In addition, the school uniform isn't so expensive and it permits all kind of students to buy it.

On the other hand, the school uniform isn't so beautiful and teenagers in our age want to wear pretty and attractive clothes. More over, the school uniform is boring. wearing the same thing every day is depressing, and many times students do what they want, and they come to school without School uniforms.

Finally, School uniforms become an obligation in many schools, so we have to get used to them even if we don’t like them.

Burge McCall

In the story "Burge McCall" the relationship between Burge McCall and his wife is very complicated. Burge McCall is a short, heavy-set man. He is very stingy, a lady killer, violent and selfish. The most thing(phr.) that made him nervous is the way his wife looked at him. His wife Mrs. McCall is a tall woman with black hair and big black eyes. She didn’t like to talk a lot and other women never used her first name, they always called her Mrs. McCall.

At the beginning of the story, the relationship between those two characters is a terrible disaster. They hate each other. Burge McCall never could understand his wife. When he called her she never answered. One day Burge McCall slapped Mrs. McCall on the face and this happened because Burge McCall didn’t like the way she looked at him.

Later, in the second part of the story, Burge McCall suddenly changed his attitude towards Mrs. McCall. He got to taking her to the movies and picnics, and he always spoke nicely to her. Burge McCall changed because he thought his wife wanted to poison him with rat poison. He became a wonderful husband and then Mrs. McCall didn't have a reason to poison him.

Finally, Burge McCall and his wife Mrs. McCall could live their happy years together inspite of all the discussions and problems that they had in their relationship- a good end.

Homework.. Is it Efective?

Teachers usually give homework hoping that the students will complete them, but not all the students take this seriously. Most of them don’t do homework because of one reason- indolent, they don’t understand that it's necessary and effective.

During the lesson, the students aren't always concentrated, they usually laugh with their friends or just don’t want to listen to the teacher. When the teachers give homework they actually give a chance to the students to learn at home the material that they don’t understand or the material that they miss, and it helps them.

In addition, perparing homework actually allows us more practice in the learning material. This practice helps us to understand better the material. So, when the test comes we have more experience with the kind of the questions and the success is definite

Finally, I think that preparing homework is very important and significant. It's something that can help us and we don’t have to make a big effort to receive a good result in the tests.

Would You Like to Explore Space?

As part of the space race, countries invest time, money and other resources in order to explore space. While some consider these efforts as vital for humanity, other claim that the resources dedicated to space exploration, should be used for other fields on Earth.

On the one hand, space exploration involves high risks. First, lunching(sp.) and landing a space suttle has complex technical aspects. It takes a single error or malfunction to cause a disaster. In addition, there is a claim that the large financial budgets should be addressed to solving other problems on Earth. For example, more efforts and studies are required in order to solve pollution and environmental problems.

On the other hand, space exploration can benefit with humanity. First, since the population on Earth is growing increasingly, it is important to look for new territories to inhabit mankind. The option to live in space can provide a solution to this potential problem. Moreover, it is vital to explore space as an alternative surroundings in case of natural disaster that can destroy our planet.

In conclusion, there are strong arguments that justify space exploration, as wall(sp.) as, claims that logically call to reduce the activity in this field. Only time will tell whether the study of space has a significant influence on humanity.

peer pressure

Peer pressure is something that we meet every day and it can happen to everyone. A situation of peer pressure happens when people who are your age, like your classmates or your friends, try to influence how you act, to get you to do something.

There are situations in which peer pressure has a positive influence on us, like when we want to do something and our friends know that it's a dangerous thing. They pressure us not to do it and with this action they prevent us from getting hurt. In a situation like this peer pressure help us to go in the right way.

In addition, peer pressure has a negative side. For example, your friends wanted to escape from the lesson, but you didn’t want because you had an important test the next week, nevertheless your friends pressured you and finally you submitted to them .When the test came all your friends and you failed. Negative peer pressure makes us do things that we don’t really want to do.

Finally, I think that we can't avoid peer pressure. It is something that can affect our actions to the negative or positive,and when it happens we have to know how to control ourselves and do what we think is better.

Dear Noy…

I heard about your problem and I know it seems like there is no easy solution, but you must be realistic- what is more important: your life or your friend's opinion about your decision not to climb that mountain?

As I understood, your friends don't know that climbing on a mountain is dangerous. Maybe they conscious of the risk that they will take in this action, but it seems like their life isn't important to them.If they are really your good friends they may accept your decision and understand you!

I think you should tell your friends about the several people that were hurt while climbing that mountain and don’t be afraid of your friend's reaction, they can reject you or laugh at you, but you may think that maybe you save your life.

Finally, I hope that I did help you with your problem, and remember, if you have any problem - listen to your heart, It will lead you to the right way.
