"Gadna" Week is a challenging opportunity that has been giving to students in 11th grade. This week make us know a little more about the army, it prepares us to the army activities. 3 months ago I have participated in this trip and I have to admit that now I understand the real meaning of the army.
Firs of all, we arrived to military base that is located in the south and at the first day we divided to groups. I felt proud to wear the army uniform. Everything there was like the real army, we slept in tents that were a bit crowded and the shower stall was common to all the girls, it made me feel inconvenience. The meals included basic food that I don't used to eat but after 2 day I started to adapt to all this new things.
Furthermore, the most thing that I was concerned about was the physically activities. The commander ordered us to run around the base in limited time and if someone didn't obey to the order, the commander ordered him to do few sit-ups. During the second and the third day we did physically activities that were exhausting, but I have to admit that I surprised my self. I succeed in all the tasks and sometimes I did them better then the boys. The most interesting and exciting days were the fourth and fifth days when we learned about the rifle. It was so exciting to shoot, I felt like a real soldier.
Finally, the "Gadna" Week was unforgotten trip that gave me a lot of experience and information that will help me in the future. I enjoyed a lot to participate in this trip and I had a grate opportunity to know new friends that it was wonderful.
